There is a version of this story where the numbers are small and you shrug. 86 users in 28 days does not move a venture capitalist. But context changes everything. Every single one of those 86 users found FactChecker Pro without being pushed there by a paid ad, a sponsored placement, or an influencer deal. They searched, found it, and chose to install it. And they came from 29 different countries across five continents.

That is the story worth telling.

Global from the very first day

When you build something without a marketing budget, organic reach is the truest signal you have. It tells you who needed your product badly enough to go looking for it. Our first 28-day window revealed something we did not fully expect: the demand for a reliable fact-checking tool is not concentrated in one region or demographic. It is everywhere.

The United States leads the list with 29 users and 34% of total activity. That is not surprising. The US has a large English-speaking internet population and an active ecosystem of journalism and digital literacy tools. But what comes after the US is the part that matters more for understanding where FactChecker Pro is headed.

The Netherlands sent eight users and produced 46 events total, which works out to 5.8 events per user — the highest of any top market. Singapore followed with seven users. Canada and Egypt both came in at five users. India added three. And then there is a long tail of 23 additional countries that each contributed one or two users: places like Uganda, South Africa, Belgium, and markets we have not even begun to target.

"The demand for reliable fact-checking is not concentrated in one region. The tail of 23 additional countries tells a clearer story than the top line does."

Not just installs. Actual use.

One of the most common pitfalls in extension analytics is mistaking installs for engagement. People install things and forget they exist. Chrome extensions especially tend to accumulate in the toolbar and never get opened again.

The numbers from this window suggest that is not happening here. Across 86 active users, the product logged 316 events at an average of 3.7 events per user. Twenty-five sessions crossed the threshold for what GA4 defines as an "engaged session," and 40% of the countries that had any users at all produced at least one engaged session.

People are not just installing FactChecker Pro. They are using it.

Where it clicks, it sticks

The engagement depth data is the section of this report I keep coming back to. The overall average engagement time per active user sits at 4.3 seconds. That is not a long time, and in isolation it might read as shallow. But look at what is happening at the country level.

A user in Uganda spent 37 seconds actively engaged with FactChecker Pro. That is 8.5 times the overall average. A user in South Africa averaged 21 seconds. Belgium came in at 18.5 seconds per user, 4.3 times the mean. These are not large samples — we are talking about one or two users per country at this stage — but the directional signal is hard to ignore.

The places where people engage deepest are the places where the consequences of misinformation are most tangible. This is not a coincidence. It is the product finding its most urgent use case.

"The places where people engage deepest are the places where the consequences of misinformation are most tangible."

100% new users — pure acquisition momentum

Every single one of the 86 active users in this window was a first-time install. There were no returning users, no power users who had been running the extension for months, no community of existing fans padding the engagement numbers. Everything you see in this data is first-touch behaviour.

That has two implications. First, the growth curve is entirely driven by new discovery. FactChecker Pro is not yet at the stage where word of mouth from existing users is compounding in the data. What you are seeing is the raw signal of organic search and store discovery alone.

Second, every engagement metric — the 3.7 events per user, the 25 engaged sessions, the average dwell time — reflects what a new user does when they encounter the product for the first time. If that baseline holds as the user base matures, the numbers will only improve as people learn the interface and build habits around it.

The headroom is the story. Monetization and conversion tracking are not yet active. The data contains zero revenue events. This is not underperformance — it is untapped potential. The infrastructure is live, the users are arriving, and the engagement signal is real. The next phase is turning that signal into sustainable growth.

What we are building toward

Twenty-eight days of data does not make a growth story. It makes a beginning. But the shape of this beginning matters more than the volume.

The user base is genuinely global from day one, with no concentrated spend in a single region. The engagement is real, not superficial. The markets that engage most deeply are the ones with the highest stakes. And the entire base so far is new, which means the retention chapter of this story has not been written yet.

FactChecker Pro exists because we believe that access to reliable information is not a luxury. It is a right. The first 28 days suggest that belief is shared in at least 29 countries, and that the people who feel it most urgently are the ones spending the most time with the tool.

That is the kind of product-market signal you build on.

Data note: All figures sourced from GA4 Demographic Details report, Jul 18 – Aug 14, 2026 (28-day window). Active users and new users are as reported. Per-country engagement leaders rest on 1 to 2 users each at this stage and should be read as directional signals rather than stable rates. "(not set)" rows are excluded from the country count. Monetization and conversion events were not active during this period.
